South Africa
November - December 1996
We kicked off our South African journey in Cape Town, where we explored the breathtaking Cape Peninsula for a day. We then indulged in some delightful wine tasting at the scenic wineries around Stellenbosch. Our adventure continued along the Garden Route, with charming stops in towns like Hermanus, George, and Plettenberg Bay, not to mention a quirky visit to an ostrich farm in Oudtshoorn.

After Port Elizabeth, we veered inland, passing through the stunning landscapes of Addo Elephant National Park, Graaf-Reinet, Kimberly, and Bloemfontein. Our travels took us to Lesotho, and from there, we made our way to picturesque destinations like Clarens, Pietermaritzburg, and Durban. We enjoyed a brief two-night stay in Swaziland before heading to Hazy View, which served as our base for a memorable visit to Kruger National Park.

Next, we journeyed to Pretoria and Sun City, culminating our road trip in Johannesburg. Our adventure didn't end there; we hopped on a flight to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, where we experienced thrilling whitewater rafting on the Zambezi River. After our exhilarating time, we flew back to Johannesburg and then home, filled with unforgettable memories.
