We reached Hanoi after a journey through Istanbul and Ho Chi Minh City. Our three days there were packed with sightseeing, including a picturesque river cruise from Tam Coc. Following an overnight cruise in the stunning Halong Bay, we hopped on a flight to Hue, the historic former capital of Vietnam. From Hue, we took a scenic drive along Highway 1 and the Hai Van Pass, arriving in Hoi An by early afternoon. While in Hoi An, we enjoyed an exhilarating Vespa tour.

Next, we jetted off to Nha Trang for a laid-back two-day visit. Another internal flight whisked us to bustling Ho Chi Minh City, where we welcomed the New Year on Nguyen Street amidst a throng of locals and fellow travelers. After three full days immersed in the city, we made our way to Can Tho by way of Ben Tre, enjoying a lovely cruise on the Mekong River.

After an overnight stay in Can Tho, we traveled to Chau Doc, where we boarded an early morning boat to cross into Cambodia, eventually reaching Phnom Penh. Following a brief visit to the capital, we flew to Siem Reap. Our final days were spent exploring the magnificent Angkor Wat and nearby temples. From Siem Reap, we flew back home, this time via Bangkok and Istanbul.
